Mataleñas is our favorite beach in Santander. The beach is located in a privileged setting within Mataleñas Park, next to the golf course and the lighthouse. It is a unique beach because it does not have as many visitors, which is due to its access requiring the climb (and descent) of many stairs.
Additionally, depending on the time of day, some areas of the beach can be in the shade.
On calm sea days, the water is crystal clear and pleasant.
Los Molinucos Beach is a hidden gem. It resembles a Mediterranean cove where it is common to see boats and yachts in the nearby area. It is a hidden and very small beach, and that is precisely its charm.
The downside is that it is difficult to find a spot, and there may be times when it is not monitored.
The most popular beach in Santander and one of the most famous in Cantabria. It consists of two distinct areas (the first beach and the second beach).
It is a beach with very easy access and all the amenities nearby, such as showers, ice cream shops, restaurants, bars, etc.
When the tide rises, the beach is divided by the Piquio Gardens.
There are no problems finding a spot.
Its name comes from a rock that resembles a camel; if you look closely, you can see it.
It’s a small beach with large rocks between El Sardinero and the Magdalena Peninsula.
The beach has all services nearby and has a large parking lot next to it.
Los Peligros is a very popular beach among young people because it is the beach closest to the city center (you can walk there).
It is located right at the entrance to the bay, across from El Puntal Beach.
Due to its location, it can have currents, so caution should be taken when swimming.
